I never cease to be amazed by my friends. Two years ago, my dear friend Kara asked me to walk with her in the Race for the Cure. It was such a great time, and it was very low-key(well, I guess low-key is the wrong term seeing that there are thousands of people there!). There were three of us total, and it was more of a way to go and honor her mother, who has passed from breast cancer.
This year she put together a team. Through hard work and perseverance, Team Broadway Boobies has raised almost $10,000!!!!!!
The day was very inspiring, and will stay with me forever. Right before we started the "race" TV's Judge Judy said, "One day we will just have to come and put some art on these streets. We won't have to race for a cure, because we will beat breast cancer." Seeing all of those people there, I know that this will be a reality. We will find a cure.
